Who We Are

We are SIMPL Financial Solutions, Inc., based in Delaware. We build Nexa, a business command center for solopreneurs, available at getnexa.tools.

This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that data. We wrote this to be clear and honest, not to bury things in legal jargon.

Data We Collect

Marketing site (getnexa.tools)

• Anonymous browsing data via our own first-party analytics: page views, tool selections in the calculator, calculator interactions, and comparison page visits.
• This data is stored with an anonymous UUID and is not linked to your identity unless you later make a purchase.

Biz Wiz ($19.99 business plan session)

• Name and email address (for account creation and session access).
• Payment information, processed by Stripe. We never see or store your card numbers.
• Conversation history with Larry (our AI business coach).
• Business plan data generated during your session.

Larry chat (free, on marketing pages)

• Conversation messages you send to Larry. These are processed via the Claude API through our Supabase proxy.
• No account or personal information is required to chat with Larry on marketing pages.

Nexa app (desktop/mobile)

• All data is stored locally on your device by default. We do not have access to it.
• If you opt into Cloud Sync ($4.99/mo), your data is stored in our Supabase backend to enable cross-device access.

How We Use Your Data

• To improve our products and understand how people use our tools.
• To deliver services you have purchased (Biz Wiz sessions, Cloud Sync).
• To communicate with you about your purchases (receipts, session access, support).

We do not sell your data. We do not use your data for advertising. We do not share your data with data brokers.

Third-Party Services

We use a small number of third-party services to run Nexa:

• Stripe — Payment processing. Stripe handles all payment data under their own privacy policy.
• Plaid — Bank account connections. When you choose to link a bank account, Plaid securely retrieves your transactions and balances on your behalf. See the Bank Connections section below for details and your consent.
• Supabase — Backend infrastructure (database, authentication, serverless functions).
• Anthropic Claude API — Powers Larry, our AI business coach. Conversation data is sent to Claude for processing.
• ElevenLabs — Voice synthesis for Larry on the demo tour.
• Google Fonts — Typography (Oswald, Inter). Google may collect anonymized usage data.
• Cloudflare — Site hosting and content delivery.

Bank Connections (Plaid)

If you choose to connect a bank account, we use Plaid Inc. (“Plaid”) to gather your financial data from your financial institution. By connecting a financial account, you grant Nexa and Plaid the right, power, and authority to act on your behalf to access and transmit your personal and financial information from the relevant financial institution. You agree to your personal and financial information being transferred, stored, and processed by Plaid in accordance with the Plaid End User Privacy Policy.

Connecting a bank account is entirely optional — Nexa works fully without it. You can disconnect a linked account at any time, after which we stop retrieving new data from that institution.

Cookies & Local Storage

We use localStorage (not cookies) for anonymous visitor tracking and session state. This allows Larry to understand your browsing journey across pages without requiring an account.

We do not use third-party tracking cookies. We do not use analytics pixels. We do not run Facebook, Google, or any other ad tracking.

Data Retention

• Biz Wiz sessions: Active for 90 days after purchase, then switch to read-only access. Your PDF business plan is yours forever.
• First-party analytics data: Retained for 1 year, then deleted.
• Cloud Sync data: Retained as long as your subscription is active. After cancellation, data is retained for 30 days then deleted from our servers (it remains on your device).

Your Rights

You can request deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing support@getnexa.tools. We will process your request within 30 days.

California residents (CCPA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, request disclosure of that information, and request deletion. We do not sell personal information. Contact us at the email above to exercise these rights.

Children's Privacy

Biz Wiz includes a "Kid Hustles" track designed for young entrepreneurs ages 10-17 with parent or guardian involvement. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13 without verified parental consent. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
