Bellevue is home to about 151,000 people. The above-average cost of living means animators charge more for services — but their software costs the same as everywhere else. High-cost cities make subscription fees sting more.
Animators in Washington need a Business License. Requirements vary — contact your city or county business licensing office for current details.
Insurance: $500K-$1M general liability

Washington has no state income tax. Every dollar you save on software stays in your pocket. The $669 annual savings from switching to Nexa is real money — not reduced by state taxes.
Whether you call it invoicing, a app for jobs, or a invoicing system — most animators in Bellevue juggle HoneyBook, FreshBooks, Toggl Track, Harvest and similar apps. That's $948/year in SaaS payments. Over 5 years at today's prices, that stack costs $4,740.
Nexa means you stop renting software. Your CRM, invoicing, booking, jobs, time tracking, and financial tools — wrapped into one app. One click books a client. One click generates an invoice. No switching tabs. No duct-tape integrations. No add-on costs. It's a one-time purchase — cut costs starting today. For animators in Bellevue weighing the switch, the 30-day money-back guarantee covers the migration window — you can run Nexa in parallel with your existing subscriptions, verify the workflow handles your real client load, and only cancel the monthly tools once you are confident the data and processes have settled in.
A thirty-second animated explainer takes me three to five weeks. It starts with the script, which the client usually writes and I usually cut, because every second on screen costs animation time. Then a storyboard, a sequence of rough frames that shows every scene, and a style frame or two so the client sees exactly how it will look before I animate anything. Changes are cheap at the storyboard stage and expensive later, so I push for sign-off there. Next is the voiceover, recorded first so I can time the animation to it. Then the long part: building characters and assets, animating each scene, adding motion to text and transitions, and adding sound effects and music. Rendering can take hours for complex scenes. The client gets two rounds of revisions in my contract, and I'm specific about what counts as a revision versus a new request. Deliverables come in several formats for web, social and presentations. I take a deposit before the script is locked, a payment at storyboard approval and the balance on delivery.
That is the work Nexa is built around: the job, the client, the hours and the invoice live in one place, so the paperwork side of the day doesn't need a second shift.
Every one of those was bought once and earns its keep for years. Nexa is priced the same way: $279 once, and it keeps working whether business is busy or slow.

Open on Reddit →We build an animator's guide the same way every time, and we'd rather you trust it than take it on faith. Nexa is our product, so the test we hold ourselves to is simple: a tool only "wins" a job here when it genuinely does that job better for an animator — and where something free, open-source, or buy-once does it better, we say so and link you to it. Where Nexa falls short (payroll is the honest example), we name the alternative outright.
