When evaluating software costs, factor in your effective tax rate. A $972/year software expense is partially deductible — but Nexa at $279 once is a one-time deduction that eliminates the recurring expense entirely.
Whether you call it invoicing, a app for jobs, or a invoicing system — most bookkeepers in Aurora juggle FreshBooks, QuickBooks, Harvest, Toggl Track and other tools. That's $972/year in SaaS payments. Within 5 years at today's prices, you're looking at $4,860.
With Nexa, you own your business software. Your CRM, invoicing, booking, jobs, time tracking, and financial tools — in a single app. One drag books a client. One drag generates an invoice. No manual re-entry. No duct-tape integrations. Zero integration overhead. It's a buy once — keep more revenue from the first day. For bookkeepers in Aurora weighing the switch, the 30-day money-back guarantee covers the migration window — you can run Nexa in parallel with your existing subscriptions, verify the workflow handles your real client load, and only cancel the monthly tools once you are confident the data and processes have settled in.
Month-end is my deadline. Around the fifth, clients' bank and card feeds have closed and I start reconciling: every account, every transaction, matched to a receipt or an invoice, until the books agree with the statement to the cent. The work is mostly in the exceptions: a deposit that's actually two invoices, a transfer coded as income, a personal expense on the business card, a vendor paid twice. I chase clients for the receipts they swore they'd upload. For some clients I run payroll twice a month, which has hard deadlines and zero room for error. Then I close the month, produce a P&L and balance sheet, and send a short note on what changed and why, because a report nobody understands is worthless. Sales-tax returns land on their own calendar by state. Around tax season I'm cleaning up the year and preparing a clean package for the CPA. Most clients are on a monthly flat fee, so the ones with messy books cost me real hours, and every year I'm deciding which to reprice and which to let go.
That is the work Nexa is built around: the job, the client, the hours and the invoice live in one place, so the paperwork side of the day doesn't need a second shift.
Every one of those was bought once and earns its keep for years. Nexa is priced the same way: $279 once, and it keeps working whether business is busy or slow.

Open on Reddit →We build a bookkeeper's guide the same way every time, and we'd rather you trust it than take it on faith. Nexa is our product, so the test we hold ourselves to is simple: a tool only "wins" a job here when it genuinely does that job better for a bookkeeper — and where something free, open-source, or buy-once does it better, we say so and link you to it. Where Nexa falls short (payroll is the honest example), we name the alternative outright.
